Employment Analysis of BSU Graduates

The National Observatory on the Labor Market and Social Protection Issues has presented a report analyzing the employment status of Baku State University (BSU) graduates.

According to Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, the analysis was based on data from 47,199 BSU students, 23,978 graduates, and employment records of 12,500 individuals.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized that the findings represent a significant step toward enhancing the successful integration of graduates into the labor market and improving students’ career prospects. He noted that tracking graduate employment trends is a key priority for the university.

Key Findings:

The analysis identified the top 15 specialties with the highest employment rates.

Graduates in Economics and Management and Agriculture had the highest overall employment rates.

  • The highest levels of employment were observed among graduates in Geology, Hydrometeorology, and Management.
  • A comparative analysis was conducted between the employment rates of graduates from BSU’s main campus and its Gazakh branch.
  • The study also examined average salary levels by specialty and field of study.

Based on these results, BSU plans to implement various programs aimed at helping students adapt more effectively to the job market and transition smoothly into their careers.
