The English Academic Writing workshop took place on 6 oct 2021 at BSU.

The event was moderated by Mais Suleymanov, the Head of the Center for Scientific Activity and Innovation at BSU. Mais Suleymanov said that that the Workshop was intended to help university scientists, PhD students and young researchers to improve their academic English for publishing scientific articles.

Dr. Gareth Dyke, Editor-in-Chief of Historical Biology («An International Journal of Paleobiology) made presentation entitled "Academic English for writing scientific research papers". He touched upon such issues as the methodology of academic writing, plagiarism, citations, preparation of a bibliography, and also provided information on the conditions and requirements for articles in indexed journals.

The event was also attended by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev. He provided recommendations to young researchers and PhD students, emphasizing the importance of the English Academic Writing.
