Eskisehir Technical University delegation visits BSU
Faculty members of the Eskisehir Technical University (ESTU), Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering visited the Nano Research Laboratory of Baku State University during 17-21 January 2022 under Erasmus+ KA107 Project.
Assist. Prof. Elif Kaynak Uraz presented the curricula, organizational structure, accreditation, and international collaborations of the Department of Chemical Engineering, ESTU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Güçbilmez gave a seminar on the “Mathematical Modelling in Chemical Engineering Course”. She explained the syllabus and learning outcomes of the course. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Güçbilmez and Dr. Elif Kaynak Uraz also showed an example on how new technologies can be adopted to the course to improve the teaching methods. On 21th of January Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Güçbilmez presented her work on “Nanomaterials and Oxidation Reactions”.
Fruitful discussions on the synthesis and applications of nanomaterials took place during the visit. Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Murodov informed the visitors on the activities of the Nano Research Laboratory and Industrial Chemistry Research Laboratory as well as on the education and academic activities in various departments of BSU.
During the visit, several meetings were organized on potential research collaborations and future projects among the staff of Baku State University and visiting academics. The meetings and seminars were attended by Prof. Ulviyya Hasanova, Dr. Ofelia Balayeva, Prof. Dr. Rasim Alosmanov and other members of the Nano Research Laboratory and Industrial Chemistry Research Laboratory.
