“Exchange Waste for Gifts” Festival Held at BSU

The latest “Exchange Waste for Gifts” festival was held at Baku State University (BSU) to promote public awareness of proper waste management, sorting, and recycling, and to encourage the active participation of young people in environmental initiatives.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources with the support of Baku State University, the Araz supermarket chain, Azersun Holding, the Tekan and EcoHub public associations, and Yagmur-2 LLC.

During the festival, BSU participants collected 3,410 liters of plastic containers, 685 liters of glass containers, and 1,481 used batteries, which they exchanged for various gifts.

The event also featured interactive educational activities aimed at fostering eco-friendly habits among students and participants.
