A scientific seminar entitled "Historiography of the March 1918 genocide",  dedicated to March 27 - "The Day of Science", was held at the Faculty of History of Baku State University (BSU).

The event was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty Ibrahim Zeynalov. He stressed that March genocide is one of tragic pages of history. Zeynalov said that main purpose of the event is to develop the scientific research activity.

Professor Anar Iskenderov, the Deputy of the Milli Majlis, Head of BSU Department delivered the lecture entitled "Historiography of the March 1918 genocide". Referring to rare archival documents and sources about the March genocide, Anar Iskenderov said that in 1918 Armenian military formations, obsessed with the crazy idea about “great Armenia”, committed genocide against the Turkic-Muslim population in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Western and Southern Azerbaijan.
