The Faculty of Physics of Baku State University has hosted scientific seminar on the spectrograph of the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory.

Associate Professor of the Department of Astrophysics Khydyr Mikailov made a presentation on two-meter telescope and its devices. He spoke about the optical scheme of the spectrograph, the importance, advantages and applications of the device. Khydyr Mikailov stressed that the spectrograph gives high spectral resolution: λ/Δλ = 55000 and 27500.
