Financial Monitoring Service Holds Information Session at BSU

The Financial Monitoring Service conducted an information session at Baku State University (BSU) to raise awareness about combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

Fidan Ismayilova, a specialist from BSU’s Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy, opened the session by emphasizing the importance of financial security and the role of the Financial Monitoring Service in preventing financial crimes.

Following this, Fuad Aliyev, an expert in the field, provided students with in-depth insights into the concepts of money laundering and terrorist financing, discussing international standards, national legislation, and global cooperation efforts. He also highlighted the Financial Monitoring Service's role in enforcing regulations and fostering international collaboration.

The session featured a video presentation explaining the global system for combating financial crimes, followed by an introduction to the Service’s e-learning platform. Students explored its modules and training resources, gaining practical knowledge on the subject.
