Four students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Baku State University (BSU) completed a year-long Arabic language programme at Kuwait University during the 2025/2026 academic year as part of the State of Kuwait’s scholarship programme.

The participants were Jala Novruzova, a student majoring in Philology (Arabic Language and Literature); Sidiqə Feyzullayeva, a student majoring in Translation (Arabic); and Sabina Jabrayilova and Narmin Abbasova, students majoring in Regional Studies (Arab Countries).

Throughout the programme, the students enhanced their Arabic language knowledge and skills at Kuwait University. Upon completing the programme, they returned to Azerbaijan, having gained experience in an international educational environment and broadened their understanding of the language and culture of the Arab countries.

The students were selected from a list of candidates submitted by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education and received scholarships from the State of Kuwait. Under the programme, the Kuwaiti government covered the students’ tuition and accommodation expenses, as well as international travel costs.
