Green Energy Corridors Discussed at BSU
A master class on “Green Energy Corridors: Azerbaijan's Strategic Vision”, dedicated to Science Day on March 27, was held at the Faculty of International Relations and Economics at Baku State University (BSU).
The session was led by Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
During the master class, he presented the goals outlined in “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socioeconomic Development”, which aim to guide the country toward green growth. Emphasis was placed on supporting the transition to renewable energy, expanding the use of green energy sources, and developing a sustainable energy system.
According to the roadmap, Azerbaijan plans to commission wind and solar power plants generating 6 gigawatts of green energy by 2030 and 8 gigawatts by 2032. The presentation also addressed investment opportunities in domestically produced green energy and its export to international energy markets.
Mr. Huseyn highlighted the strategic importance of energy corridors such as Caspian–Black Sea–Europe, Azerbaijan–Türkiye–Europe, and Azerbaijan–Georgia–Türkiye–Europe for exporting Azerbaijan’s green energy potential.
The master class concluded with a lively discussion, during which participants’ questions were answered and ideas were exchanged.
