Rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babayev has met with Gebhard Reul, Head of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Regional Office.

Rector Elchin Babayev stressed the importance of the student and faculty exchanges between Azerbaijani and German universities as well as the implementation of joint research programs and projects. Elchin Babayev said the dual degree programs in social sciences, humanities and natural sciences between BSU and German universities will strengthen the relations between countries. The rector also proposed to organize short-term and long-term scientific visits, joint summer and winter schools.

Gebhard Reul noted DAAD expects to hold workshops for BSU faculty and students to provide information concerning the study programs and cooperation possibilities in Germany. He underlined the possibility for the German courses at BSU.
