Agshin Aliyev, Head of the Department of the Azerbaijani Language of Beijing Foreign Studies University held a scientific seminar entitled "Information about the Turkic peoples in the ancient Chinese chronicles and the process of crossing the Turkic-Chinese languages on the Silk Road".

The seminar was moderated by Anar Farajov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology. Anar Farajov provided information about the Agshin Aliyev’s activities to popularize Azerbaijani studies in China.

Agshin Aliyev spoke about the ancient Chinese sources related to the history, culture, traditions and languages of the Turkic peoples as well as the Turkic manuscripts found in the Mogao caves in the city of Dunhuang.
