"Heydar Aliyev's Lectures" at BSU: Meeting with MP Rizvan Nabiyev
As part of the "Heydar Aliyev's Lectures" project, Baku State University (BSU) hosted a meeting with Member of Parliament Rizvan Nabiyev.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev introduced the "Heydar Aliyev's Lectures" initiative, which was launched during the "Year of Heydar Aliyev." He explained that the project aims to familiarize young people with the multifaceted and rich heritage of Azerbaijan's national leader. The project features lectures from statesmen, politicians, intellectuals, and scholars, who discuss various periods and aspects of Heydar Aliyev's political activities.
Following this, MP Rizvan Nabiyev delivered a lecture on the topic "Heydar Aliyev's Multifaceted Foreign Policy Strategy Based on National Interests." He highlighted the deep connection between the formation and strengthening of Azerbaijani statehood and the legacy of Heydar Aliyev. Nabiyev noted that, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan continues to develop based on the political course set by the national leader, evolving into a powerful and victorious nation.
The MP also discussed the pivotal role of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy in fostering regional integration and establishing the country as a leading state in the region. He stressed that the energy strategy set by Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for the nation's development: "The successful implementation of this strategy attracted international energy companies to Azerbaijan’s oil and gas fields, diversified crude oil and gas transportation routes, and strengthened the country’s competitive human capital. This has ushered Azerbaijan into a new stage of development and strengthened global confidence in our nation's future."
The lecture concluded with an interactive discussion session.
