A masterclass was held at Baku State University (BSU) as part of the “Lessons of Professor Nasir Imanquliyev” project, organized by the Student Trade Union Committee of the Faculty of Journalism and dedicated to the 115th anniversary of Nasir Imanquliyev.

The guest speaker, Dagbei Ismayilov—Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Media Development Agency and Deputy Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC—delivered a presentation on the functioning of news agencies and newsroom management. He shared practical insights on handling information flows, maintaining a balance between speed and accuracy, and organizing efficient editorial processes.

Ismayilov emphasized that the core mission of news agencies is to provide reliable, verified, and timely information, highlighting the importance of professional ethics, teamwork, and adaptability in the digital age. He also encouraged students to continuously develop their skills.

During the session, the speaker shared memories of Nasir Imanquliyev, noting his lasting impact on national journalism and education. The event concluded with an interactive discussion, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and deepen their understanding of media practices.

The project aims to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience and is expected to engage over 300 students.
