ICESCO Department of Biomedical Materials to be opened at BSU
The official delegation led by Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director-General (DG) of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has visited Baku State University (BSU).
Dr. Salim M. AlMalik met rector Elchin Babayev, who hailed ties between BSU and ICESCO. “BSU has become a member of the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) since this year and will take an active part in trainings within the framework of the project for “Developing Open Education in FUIW Member Universities””, said Elchin Babayev.
The rector shared information about two international conferences that would be held at BSU in 2022 with support of ICESCO - "Modern Problems of Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry" and "Achievements and Challenges in Biology".
Elchin Babayev thanked ISESCO for the invitation to the international event "ICESCO's First International Seminar on Satellite Model (CanSat) and Aerospace Symposium", which is scheduled for July 18-22, 2022.
The meeting touched upon the opening of ICESCO Department of Biomedical Materials at BSU, and the signing of a relevant agreement between ICESCO and Baku State University. BSU rector Elchin Babayev said that Biomedicine is one of the 5 main priority scientific areas at BSU.
The meeting ended with the signing of the memorandum on the establishment of the ICESCO Department of Biomedical Materials at BSU.
