II Republican Conference "Chemistry and Chemical Technology" held at BSU

On May 4, 2023, the Faculty of Chemistry at Baku State University (BSU) hosted the II Republican Scientific Conference "Chemistry and Chemical Technology," which was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader, Heydar Aliyev.

The conference was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry at BSU, Fuad Karimli, who delivered an introductory speech. He highlighted that BSU has been organizing several events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the esteemed national leader. Fuad Karimli spoke about Heydar Aliyev's significant contributions to state-building and the advancement of science, emphasizing the successful continuation of this policy by President Ilham Aliyev.

During the conference, Dean Ibrahim Zeynalov from the Faculty of History at BSU presented a report on the life and achievements of the great leader.

The plenary session of the conference featured presentations from esteemed speakers, including Ali Zalov, the Head of the Department of Analytical and Organic Chemistry at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University; Professor Ibragim Mammadov, the Head of the Department of Petrochemistry and Chemical Technology at BSU; Professor Rasim Alosmanov, the Head of the Department of Chemistry of Macromolecular Compounds; and Professor Revan Rahimov from Baku Engineering University.

It is worth noting that the conference received over 230 abstract submissions, and the proceedings continued with fruitful discussions in four separate sections.
