International Conference Co-Organized by BSU Held in Izmir
The II International Conference on the "Protection of Eurasian Biodiversity" took place in Izmir, Türkiye. This event was jointly organized by Ege University, Baku State University (BSU), Andijan State University of Uzbekistan, and Osh State University of Kyrgyzstan.
The conference saw the presentation of 110 reports from four countries, addressing pressing issues related to the protection of Eurasian biodiversity and exploring potential solutions.
Professor Afet Mamedova, Dean of the Biological Faculty at BSU, was the keynote speaker, delivering a presentation titled "Bioindicative Assessment and Environmental Management Using Plants."
In addition to Professor Mamedova, 23 scientists from various educational and research institutions across Azerbaijan participated in the conference.
The event featured a wide array of reports on topics including biodiversity conservation, the role of photosynthetic organisms, microorganisms such as fungi and bacteria, and the monitoring of aquatic ecosystems.
