Rector of BSU, academician Abel Maharramov wished success to the conference and noted the importance of this event. Abel Maharramov said that national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev attached special importance to relations with the Turkic world and President Ilham Aliyev successfully continued this policy.

It should be noted that historians from Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Ukraine, Belarus, UK, USA and Japan took part participated in the conference. The scientists presented 47 reports.
