An international seminar dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the prominent writer and scholar-literary critic, Professor Mir Jalal Pashayev, who has invaluable merits in the development of Azerbaijani science, literature and education of the 20th century was held under the joint organization of Baku State University (BSU) and “Edibin Evi” called "Mir Jalal's Philosophy of Humanity".

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev spoke about the life and works of the outstanding literary scholar, literary historian, theorist, author of hundreds of literary critical articles and textbooks.

Adiba Pashayeva, Head of the Department of the History of Russian Literature said that the life and work of Mir Jalal, based on diligence and talent, is considered an example for young people.

Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Culture Ganira Pashayeva, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan Malik Otorbaev, Chairman of the National Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan Nurlan Kalybekov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Gavril Androsov, the representative of the Iraqi Turkmens - poet-publicist, public figure Shamseddin Kuzachi, Chairman of the Organization "Azerbaijani diaspora of the Arkhangelsk region" Tarlan Gasimov also made speech at the event.
