13/03/2026

The visit of accreditation commissions to Baku State University (BSU) is continuing within the framework of the international accreditation of academic programs conducted by the Independent Quality Assurance Agency (IQAA) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

International experts are carrying out an on-site evaluation of the university’s educational and management processes across 14 master’s degree programs in accordance with accreditation procedures. On the second day of the visit, the experts inspected newly established laboratories and the university’s upgraded infrastructure, assessing its research and educational capacities. Representatives of the Quality Assurance Agency for Education are also participating in the process as observers.

The international experts are holding a series of meetings with BSU faculty members and administrative staff while becoming closely acquainted with the activities of the university’s structural divisions. Through interviews with students, graduates, and employer representatives, the experts evaluate the alignment of educational programs with labor market requirements, the effectiveness of the teaching process, and the availability of a student-centered learning environment.

The commission is also reviewing documentation related to curricula, teaching methodologies, student assessment mechanisms, research activities, and the implementation of the university’s internal quality assurance system.

At the final stage of the on-site inspection, the experts will present their preliminary observations and recommendations.
