Rector of  Baku State University (BSU), academician Abel Maharramov met with Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz.  The sides discussed bilateral cooperation issues, including cooperation between  BSU and  Israeli universities.

The Hebrew language has been taught at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of  BSU since 1993. At the present time 30 students and two graduate students receive an education  at this division of the Faculty.
