BSU organized an event to pray tribute to January 20 martyrs. The ceremony participants placed flowers at a memorial to January 20 victims in the yard of the university and observed a minute’s silence.

Rector Abel Maharramov said the terror act entered the history of Azerbaijani nation as one of the most terrible crimes against humanity. “National leader Heydar Aliyev gave political and legal assessment to 20 January tragedy. Martyrs are remembered every year at the state level, and this policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev”.

Department head, professor Izzat Rustamov , who lost his son at that night , shared his thoughts about the tragedy.
