Kamal Abdulla Delivers a Talk at Baku State University
As part of the “Learn from the Master” project, implemented by the BSU Volunteers organization, a meeting was held at Baku State University with renowned scholar, public figure, and national writer, Academician Kamal Abdulla.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev spoke about the key stages of Kamal Abdulla’s academic, pedagogical, and public service career, emphasizing his significant contribution to the development of higher education, literature, and linguistics in Azerbaijan. It was noted that his work is distinguished by its multifaceted nature and its strong connection to ancient Turkic culture, Oghuz mythology, and the motifs of the epic “Kitabi Dede Gorgud.”
In his address, Kamal Abdulla warmly recalled his student years at BSU and highlighted the important role his professors played in shaping his worldview and passion for literature. He also spoke about the deeper layers of meaning in his works and answered numerous questions from students.
