Magnetic storm expected from February 27 to March 1

According to the Department of Astrophysics of Baku State University (BSU) a geomagnetic storm is expected on Earth from February 27 to March 1.

Coronal mass ejection (CME), caused by flares on the surface of the Sun on February 24-25, will reach Earth on February 27, and its impact will last until February 28.

The intensity of the geomagnetic storm on February 27 will reach the level of G2 (medium magnetic storm), it will continue until March 1, at some hours rising to the level of G3 (strong).

The geomagnetic storm can cause a feeling of discomfort in at-risk chronic patients, the elderly and children. Weather-sensitive people are recommended to take preventive measures on the recommendation of doctors.
