Acting rector of Baku State University Firudin Gurbanov met with Project Managers of EU funded Twinning Project under ENPI Annual Action Programme “Support to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Further Adherence of the Higher Education System to the European Higher Education Area”.
F. Gurbanov noted the importance of the project and its contribution to develop higher education. He said that Twinning projects provides new opportunities for modernizing higher education, improving of learning technologies and training.
F. Gurbanov informed the guests about the history of BSU. F. Gurbanov stressed that BSU is leading scientific, educational, innovation and cultural centre of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which makes a significant contribution to the scientific researchs and trains highly qualified professionels.He said that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on conducting the 100th anniversary of BSU and the commemorative events would be held at the international level with support of UNESCO, ISESCO and other international organizations.
