Member of Parliament Eldar Ibrahimov Speaks at “Heydar Aliyev Lectures” at BSU
As part of the “Heydar Aliyev Lectures” project, jointly organized by Baku State University (BSU) and the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), students met with Eldar Ibrahimov, member of the NAP Board, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Disciplinary Commission, and Member of Parliament.
Opening the event, Aydin Kazimzade, Advisor to the BSU Rector for Science and Education, noted that the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev has become a symbol of Azerbaijan’s statehood. He emphasized that Heydar Aliyev, distinguished by his exceptional leadership qualities, talent, and strong sense of patriotism, established the political, economic, legal, and socio-cultural foundations of independent Azerbaijan. One of the priority directions of his long-term development strategy was the advancement of the education sector.
In his speech, Eldar Ibrahimov highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s decisive role in strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, enriching its statehood traditions, and ensuring its dynamic economic development and growing international reputation. He stated that the period of Heydar Aliyev’s leadership is remembered as a time when the foundations of the country's modern progress were laid. He added that since 2003, thanks to the reforms successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has entered a new stage of development and secured its rightful place in the international arena.
“The people are confident that the development of our independent state is in safe hands. It is the duty of every citizen to protect and strengthen Azerbaijan and to bring the ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev to life. His name will always be remembered with deep respect, and his legacy will forever live in the hearts of our people,” Eldar Ibrahimov said.
