On November, 24 Rector of BSU, academician Abel Maharramov received Professor, Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, Federal Minister and Chairman Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Coordinator of COMSTECH  (OİC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technology Cooperation).  Academician Abel Maharramov informed the guest of the history and development of the Baku State University, international programs and grants. Professor, Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, in turn, expressed an interest in collaborating with BSU.

Following the meeting Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between BSU and COMSTECH. The signed agreement envisages various forms of the bilateral cooperation. Professor, Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman gave a lecture to the students of the BSU.
