An event dedicated to the memory of national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was held at BSU.

Speaking at the event, rector Elchin Babayev informed about the historical merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people and state. High lighting the contribution of the national leader to the development of science and education, he said that President Ilham Aliyev has successfully implemented great ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Deputy Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations Siyavush Novruzov touched upon the glorious path of life and activities of the founder of an independent Azerbaijan, a brilliant politician and an outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev.

The event ended with a demonstration of a film dedicated to the life and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
