Nigar Mammadova, Deputy of the Milli Majlis and a graduate of Baku State University (BSU), delivered a lecture to students on the topic “Young People as Bearers of Heydar Aliyev’s Ideas”.

Ramin Samedov, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Issues and Youth Policy at BSU, introduced Nigar Mammadova to the students, highlighting her socio-political activities and underscoring the significance of the “Heydar Aliyev Lectures” project at the university, which aims to instill the legacy of the great leader in the student body.

In her lecture, Nigar Mammadova emphasized that Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijan, played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s youth policy, the promotion of national values, and fostering a spirit of patriotism. She noted that youth policy was always a cornerstone of Heydar Aliyev’s statecraft. In the 1970s and 1980s, hundreds of young Azerbaijanis were sent to study at leading universities across the former USSR, a testament to his forward-thinking approach. Mammadova pointed out that this policy continues successfully under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who is ensuring the further development of youth policy in Azerbaijan. She highlighted the country’s efforts to involve young people in key roles in the civil service and address their socio-economic challenges.
