Model Satellite (CanSat) Training Workshop & Aerospace Symposium organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) with the support of Baku State University (BSU) will be held from July 31 to August 5 in Istanbul, Turkey. The purpose of the event is to increase interest in the space field among students and faculty members of higher educational institutions of the Islamic world, the formation of fundamental knowledge and skills in this area.

The event will feature satellites of the "CANSAT1919" and "CubeSat" models, prepared by the BSU team.

These models of satellite systems can measure the amount and proportion of gases in the air, the magnetic field and the level of humidity. Along with this, the systems are capable of shooting in space and instantly transmitting all data to the Ground Control Station.
