A commemorative event dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at BSU on December 11, 2021. Before the event participants laid a wreath at the grave of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honors.

Addressing the event, Rector of Baku State University Elchin Babayev spoke about the extraordinary life path of Heydar Aliyev and his outstanding role and tireless efforts in the preservation and strengthening of Azerbaijan’s independent and sovereign statehood. He said the policy of Heydar Aliyev had successfully been continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Other speakers at the event highlighted accomplishments achieved in Azerbaijan under national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev.

The event was also attended by People's Writer, Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Writers Union Anar, People's Poet Nariman Hasanzade, Deputy of the Milli Mejlis Sevinj Fataliyeva, President of Simurg Azerbaijan Cultural Association Fuad Mammadov.
