Newly-appointed Korean Ambassador visited Baku State University

On September 19, rector of the Baku State University, academician Abel Maharramov met with newly-appointed Korean ambassador to Azerbaijan Cho Suk-Inn. Maharramov briefed the ambassador on the BSU`s activity, international relations, programs and grant projects. Underlining the importance of Azerbaijan-Korea relations, the rector said Korean language had been taught here since 2007. He said 3 out of 8 graduates specialized in Korean language were admitted to masters` programs in Korean universities. Academician Abel Maharramov proposed to open Korean Center at Baku State University, which could become a bridge between Azerbaijan and Korea.

It should be noted that on August 17, Azerbaijan-Korean Information Centre was opened after updating.
