With support of the BSU Students' union Nowruz was celebrated at Baku State University.

17 faculties of the University presented festive scenes. BSU rector, academician Abel Maharramov greeted all Azeri people to this wonderful holiday. Jury announced the winner - it was the faculty of journalism at BSU. All faculties were awarded a cash prize. The event was concluded with a concert.

The new year is privately celebrated by Azeri people on March 21 and coincides with the first day of spring. The new day, or Nowruz, indicates a renewal and revival of life.
