Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Aykhan Gadzizade visited the Faculty of Journalism at Baku State University (BSU) on April 26, 2024.
Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Vugar Aliev, emphasized that such meetings play an important role in providing journalism students with practical knowledge in the field of international journalism and foreign policy, as well as in teaching them methods to combat threats to Azerbaijan's information space and misinformation.
Aykhan Gadzizade provided detailed information about the activities of the MFA, foreign policy communications, digital diplomacy, public diplomacy, the principles of the press service's work, and communication in crisis situations.
Aykhan Gadzizade noted that the material and technical base established at the faculty serves as an example of the importance attached to the journalism profession.
He also talked about the volunteer programs of the MFA and reminded that such meetings can occupy a special place in the future careers of journalism students. The MFA representative highlighted that students can pursue careers in diplomacy in their future activities by passing special exam stages.
