Professor Araz Aliguliyev, Chief Physician of Medera Clinic, delivered a lecture titled “Personality Disorders: History, Classification, Epidemiology, and Clinical Features” at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of Baku State University (BSU).

In his presentation, he discussed the historical development of the concept of personality disorders, modern classification systems used in psychiatry and clinical psychology, as well as their diagnostic criteria and clinical characteristics.

Professor Aliguliyev also addressed the prevalence and epidemiological aspects of personality disorders and explained their impact on behavior, social relationships, and psychological well-being. He also outlined current approaches to diagnosis and treatment.

The event concluded with a discussion, during which students’ questions were answered.
