On May 19, 2023, a scientific seminar titled "Aggression and its evolution" took place at the Faculty of Biology, Baku State University (BSU). The seminar was conducted by Professor Daniel Frinta from Charles University in the Czech Republic.

During his presentation, Professor Daniel Frinta provided comprehensive insights into the evolution of aggression in vertebrates. He emphasized that changes in the physiology of animals, such as variations in the levels of androgens and serotonin depending on the season, are the primary factors influencing vertebrate aggression. The speaker, along with his research group, conducted extensive studies across various regions in Europe, Lebanon, and Iran to explore the factors contributing to aggression in reptiles during different stages of ontogenesis. Professor Daniel Frinta highlighted the key factors that played a role in the emergence of aggression throughout evolution.
