Professor from Ege University delivered lecture at BSU
Professor Hüsun Baykal from the Ege University of Türkiye delivered a lecture titled "Innovations in Tourism in the 21st Century and New Approaches in Tourism Geography" at the Geography Department of Baku State University (BSU) on April 25, 2024.
During the seminar, Professor Baykal provided information on tourism trends, cultural and ethno-cultural heritage, natural and biological diversity, the use of cultural heritage in tourism, as well as green, social, rural, mountain, community, and ecological tourism. The guest drew the participants' attention to the emergence of new directions and types in tourism due to changes in the socio-political situation in countries worldwide, complications arising from global warming, epidemiological conditions, and several other factors.
Hüsun Baykal also shared information about the main problems of teaching tourism geography, the interrelation of geography and tourism, its cultural, natural, and territorial factors, as well as innovations and best practices in this field.
