Professor Fikret Mamedov from Uppsala University, Sweden, will give a lecture on February 22nd as part of a series of seminars dedicated to the 'Green World Solidarity Year'.

The first seminar, focusing on the topic 'Photosystem-2 and the latest advancements in water oxidation processes,' will mark the beginning of the series.

Fikret Mamedov obtained his Ph.D. in Biology from the Institute of Botany of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in 1994. From 1995 to 1998, he conducted research at Lund University, Sweden. In 2002, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at Lund University, and in 2008, he earned a doctoral degree in science. Since 2016, Fikret Mamedov has been a professor at Uppsala University. The scientist has authored 120 articles in leading scientific journals, and his Hirsch index is 36.
