Professor of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology of the Azerbaijan Medical University, Doctor of Biological Sciences Nigar Agayeva gave a lecture at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University (BSU). She made presentation entitled "The role of studying the biological properties of viruses in the modern period and COVID-19 infection".

She spoke about the structure of viruses, their types, classification, reproduction, cultivation, genome features, gene mutations, diseases caused, infection mechanisms.
