Professor of Missouri University held Workshop at BSU

Bing Yang, Professor of Plant Sciences at the University of Missouri (USA) held a Workshop on "Editing the Plant Genome" at Baku State University (BSU).
He explained the mechanisms of genome editing technology in plants in order to increase their resistance to various stress factors by identifying and mutating negative genes, creating stress-resistant genotypes by transforming plant cells as well as «tal – effector nuclease» и «zinc finger nuclease» technologies.
The guest also provided information about the history, activities, research areas and laboratories of the University of Missouri.
