A delegation from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, including Professors Hayate Sotome and Yuji Kajima, along with Terasawa Mitsuko, Head of the Public Relations Department, visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Baku State University (BSU).

During a meeting with the guests, BSU Vice-Rector Shahin Panakhov highlighted the significance of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the two universities. He emphasized that this partnership would pave the way for meaningful progress.

Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Aydan Handan, provided an overview of the current state and future prospects of Japanese language studies at the faculty. She underscored that collaboration between the universities would greatly contribute to the development of this field.

The discussions also included an exchange of views on potential areas of cooperation and future plans. Following the meeting, the visiting professors conducted an information session for BSU students, outlining opportunities for studying in Japan.
