Members of the Public Control Council of Baku State University (BSU), along with media representatives, monitored the progress of the spring semester examination session.

The visit began with a meeting held in the recently opened "Student Space" on the BSU campus. During the meeting, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev briefed the Council members on the latest developments at the university and the overall course of the examination session.

Rector Babayev highlighted BSU’s continued progress in strengthening its standing in both global and regional university rankings. He noted ongoing efforts to modernize the university’s infrastructure, mentioning the recent opening of several key facilities, including "Ecospace," "Student Space," the Museum of Minerals, and the Materials Science Research Laboratory at the Center for Excellence in Research, Development, and Innovation.

The Rector also provided details about the examination session, noting a decline in cheating cases compared to previous years. To ensure transparent and efficient assessment of student knowledge, BSU has established an Examination Headquarters and an Appeals Committee. Over 16,000 undergraduate students and 1,175 graduate students are participating in the exams. On June 12 alone, 239 exams are scheduled across 15 faculties, involving 5,374 students from 236 academic groups.

Following the meeting, members of the Public Control Council and media representatives visited various examination venues to observe the assessment process firsthand.
