On May 4, 2023, the Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, held a meeting with members of the university teams who had achieved remarkable success at the TEKNOFEST-2023 Aerospace and Technology Festival in Istanbul.

The rector extended his congratulations to the teams that secured first and third places at the festival, considering it a significant victory for Azerbaijan and BSU. He emphasized that this event could be regarded as a turning point in the lives of BSU and the team members, signifying the beginning of future accomplishments. Elchin Babayev also assured that the copyrights for the winning projects would be protected, and a patent application would be submitted to the Intellectual Property Agency.

Following the remarks, the BSU team members who participated in TEKNOFEST-2023 shared their impressions of the festival and expressed their joy over their victories.

It is worth mentioning that four BSU teams with six projects had reached the final stage of the festival. Among them, the "BSU Creativity Workz" team secured first place among 109 finalists in the "Smart Transportation" category with their "Driver's Eye" project. The "Humantek" team, with their "Smart Drip Irrigation System" project, achieved third place among 54 finalists in the "Agricultural Technologies" nomination. Additional support for the travel expenses of the BSU teams was provided by Bayramlı Group LLC.
