Laura Karabasova, Rector of Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University,  Kazakhstan visited Baku State University to meet with BSU Rector Elchin Babayev.

During the meeting, Rector Elchin Babayev noted that BSU collaborates with Kazakh universities, implementing four dual-degree programs. There are agreements on integration with six universities in the fraternal country. BSU houses the Abai Kunanbayev Kazakh Center. Elchin Babayev emphasized the strong academic departments in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology at BSU. Collaboration with  Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University was discussed in these fields, as well as in the humanities, including joint scientific research initiatives.

Rector Laura Karabasova  also expressed interest in integrating with BSU.

The meeting addressed the prospects of collaboration between the two universities, encompassing various academic disciplines and potential joint scientific research efforts.
