Baku State University has hosted a conference called “Religious extremism and its consequences”.

In his remarks, BSU rector Abel Maharramov stressed the fact that 2016 was proclaimed the year of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan.

The rector emphasized the significance of encouraging patriotism in students.

Other speakers underlined the role of science and education in the development of society.

The conference featured the screening of “Fitna” film.
