The Faculty of Philology at Baku State University (BSU) hosted renowned Turkish scholars from Türkiye: Professor Ercan Alkaya, Head of the Department of Modern Turkish Languages and Literature at Fırat University, and Associate Professor Suleyman Kaan Yalcin.

The visit took place as part of the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) project "Traces of Oghuz Turkic Microtoponyms in the Old Turkish Language".

The faculty members of the Department of Turkology engaged in a meeting to conduct collaborative discussions on dialectology and toponymy.
