A delegation from the National Academy of Modernization of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences visited Baku State University (BSU).

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on BSU’s history, scientific research, educational activities, and international relations. It was noted that BSU maintains close cooperation with Chinese universities, including the implementation of dual degree programs, and is interested in further expanding academic integration with higher education institutions in China.

The guests presented information on the activities of the National Academy of Modernization, highlighting that the Academy conducts research in the socio-economic sphere with a focus on the Chinese model of modernization, its theoretical foundations, historical development, and comparative analysis with other countries. Azerbaijan’s important role in both the ancient Silk Road and the modern “One Belt, One Road” initiative was emphasized. In this context, cooperation with BSU and joint research on various aspects of modernization and socio-economic policy were considered mutually beneficial.

The meeting concluded with discussions on potential areas of cooperation, during which specific proposals for future collaboration were put forward.
