Researcher from Hebrew University Delivers Lectures on "Synergetic Program" at BSU
Ilya Kublanov, a researcher from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI), recently visited Baku State University (BSU) to introduce the "Synergetic Program."
During his visit, Kublanov met with BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and delivered an 8-lecture series at the Faculty of Biology.
The course, titled "Microbial Metabolism: Endless Variations," focused on the diversity of microorganisms and the metabolic, primarily catabolic, processes they perform.
In addition, Kublanov presented a special lecture on extremophilic microorganisms—organisms capable of thriving in extreme environments such as high temperatures, extreme pH levels, high salinity, and intense pressure. The lecture also highlighted the habitats of these microorganisms and explored the unique resistance mechanisms that enable their survival in such harsh conditions.
