Results of the 6th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad Announced

The winners of the 6th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad have been announced.

Approximately 2,200 students registered for the republican stage of the two-round competition. Students who scored at least 65 percent of the total possible points in the first round qualified for the final stage.

The final round of the Olympiad was held at Baku State University (BSU) and Secondary School No. 7 in Nakhchivan City, bringing together 224 students. According to the decision of the Organizing Committee, five students who achieved the highest results were awarded first place, nine students received second place, and fifteen students were awarded third place.

The winners will be presented with medals and gifts and will also be invited to participate in preparatory training sessions for the 19th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, which will be held in Vietnam later this year.

The training sessions will be conducted by experts from Baku State University and the Republican Center for Children's and Youth Development.
