Results of the V Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad Announced

The winners of the V Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad for secondary school students have been determined. Around 1,200 students registered for the republican round of the competition, with those scoring at least 75% of the total points advancing to the final stage.

More than 100 students participated in the final round, held at Baku State University and Secondary School No. 3 in Nakhchivan. According to the Organizing Committee, 7 students secured first place, 11 took second place, and 10 won third place.

The winners will receive medals and prizes and will also be invited to preparatory classes for the XVIII International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics, set to take place this year in India. These classes will be conducted by specialists from BSU and the Republican Center for Child and Youth Development.
