Miroslav Svatora, Daniel Frinta, and Vera Opatova, professors from the Department of Zoology at Charles University, recently visited the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University as part of the Erasmus project.

During their visit, the guests had a meeting with Afet Mammadova, the Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Abulfaz Tagiyev, the Head of the Department of Zoology and Physiology, as well as other faculty members. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the continuation of their joint research endeavors.

The Czech scientists will be conducting ichthyological research in several rivers, including Lankaranchay, Vilyashchay, Atachay, and Gumbashi. They aim to study the species composition of the ichthyofauna in these areas and compare genetic analyses at the population level.
